  • Front-mounted controls; 6 stainless-steel burners; Snap-Jet...
  • Side burner, Sear Station burner, smoker burner, and rear-mounted...

The weber summit S-670 is the grill I decided to up upgrade to this summer, I did a ton of research and this was the one that stuck out most for me and gave the best bang for your bucks.

In terms of the design, the weber S-670 has a sleek finish that looks like an absolute eye-candy on my porch.

Weber is known for their craftsmanship when it comes to the grill and has released the best gas grills on the market and now the best flat grill at least if I were to vote.

With 838 square inches of cooking space, you can cook both eggs, bacon, and beans in one sitting. Featured with 6 powerful burners, a near station burner, side burner, smoker burner, rear-mounted infrared rotisserie burner producing a total of 60,600 BTUs. With all these burners you can reach high temperatures and heat the grill in a short period of time.

Each burner has its own non-match ignition system, that way you dont need to light up the whole grill to just make one or two burgers. In addition to this, you adjust the temperature of course so you can cook different types of meats or carbs in each separate section of the grill.

The grill is built to work with webers popular flavorer bars which adds to the taste since it captures the aromatic juices.

I have owned this grill for under the month now, so if possible I will get back to this article and let you know how it was during the summer.

This grill is another excellent option, just a bit smaller than the weber summit and friendlier to the pocket. Featured with a 335 square inch cooking space powered by three burners you have a grill that is perfectly suited for large family dinners.

In addition to the burners, you have a foldable side rack that can be used for toasting buns or warming the dogs while you prepare the side dishes. The burners provide an even heat over the whole cooking surface leaving no room for cold spots to occur.

The burners provide a total of 39 000 BTUs which is a lot, but necessary because of the huge cooking space. The side rack has a BTU output of 9000 which is more than enough to keep the dishes warm or for toasting some bread. I really enjoy the side heating rack, it’s suited for so many tasks and it gives you additional space to work on.

Like all other weber grills, you have a non-match ignition system and an aroma infuser that takes care of the taste and aromas and inject it back into the grill during your cooking.

In this new series, weber has upgraded its grease removal system making it a lot easier to clean and remove the grease. The only thing you have to do in order to remove the grease is literally just pulling out the tray and replacing it with a new one. In a matter of seconds, you have cleaned the grill and you can enjoy your meal with a good conscience.

Overall it’s a great grill that comes to a lower price point. With this robust build, you have a grill that will last you for many seasons. In addition to a large cooking space, you have shelves and knobs to store your spices or grill equipment. Just a great grill for a great price, check it out!

If you dont want a huge grill, but something more compact and portable the Hamilton Beach 25361 is a perfect choice. if you live in the north and want to stay inside the warmth while you grill then now you can! The Hamilton is a smokeless grill that can be used inside without activating all the fire alarms in the house.

Featured with burners making it possible to achieve a temperature of 450 degrees you have a grill that is perfectly suited for any grillmaster out there. Hamilton has clearly put their brains to work then they engineered this beauty. The reason I say this is the lock wich traps all the juices from the meat making it close to impossible to make a dry steak for any beginner to advanced griller.

In addition to trapping the juice and flavors, you have a see-through glass on the top which makes it possible for you to keep an eye on the food without having to open the lid every second.

In terms of cleaning the Hamilton does not disappoint. It comes with a large grease tray and removable plates that you is dishwasher friendly.

Overall it’s an excellent grill that is both easy to use and clean. You a smaller cooking space of 118 square inches and the heating time of 10-minutes was longer than I expected. Besides these two features, I am very happy with how it performs and it’s a grill that most definitly deserves the spot in top 3 on this list.

You can literally do anything with this grill, grill burgers, make eggs or pancakes simply and fast.

The most common issue with the electric grills I tested where an unbalance of heat, some spots were really hot were some were close to cold, so when I found the Cuisinart I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the even heat distribution provided.

The Cuisinart has a maximum output of 450 degrees which is more than enough to grill and cook almost anything.

If you are looking for an electrical grill than this would be my go-to recommendation. Its budget-friendly provides you with a high max temperature that is evenly distributed throughout the cooking space.

Yet another excellent option, I understand if you are stuck in a dilemma between choosing your next grill, I probably should have given you just two options, but the truth is that there are so many excellent grills out there that I simply had to include and the Napoleon Lex605 is one of them.

7. Char-Broil – Portable

Char-Broil Stainless Steel Portable Liquid...

  • Durable stainless steel construction
  • Durable stainless steel wire grates

With the Char-broil you get 200 square inches of cooking space pact within a compact stainless steel body making it easy to take along on your adventures and tailgating trips.

The lid is a full cover, a lot of smaller grills have just a flat top such as the Hamilton beach, but if you are grilling thicker steaks and burger a full-cover lid is nearly a must because of the grease splatter.

The grill provides 10 000 BTUs which is enough for a small group of people (1-3). The heat-resistant handle allows you to move or check on your food without having to worry about getting burned.

The non-match ignition system allows you to start grilling a push of a button, making it simple and quick to get started.

Although its smaller in both size and power the grill is perfect for those of you looking for a small and portable grill to either have available for burgers at home or to take along on your travels.

The Weber-Stephen is the smallest of the grills from their collection, at least on this list. Being a smaller grill it comes with a smaller price tag as well, on amazon, you can get it under the 1000$ mark.

Featured with two burners and 380 square inches of cooking space you have enough room and power to cook most dishes. The grill is more than big enough for a family gathering so dont worry.

If you want to be the grill master with the biggest beasty grill in the block then its hard to beat the Napoleon s Prestige Pro. Its a massive grill, with a lot of power and features.

If it wasn’t for the price tag this would easily be in top three of this list, but if money isn’t a factor for you then there is no doubt the Napoleon Pro got your needs and requirements covered.

The price tag is big, but if you divide it on the number of years this will last you the cost per year is not really that bad. I am an active member of grill forums and Reddit and I have talked to several grill enthusiasts raving about the Napoleon Pro.

What to Look for in a Stainless Steel Grill

Deciding on a grill can be a difficult task, there is a lot of great grills out there with comprehensive stats and features, but what do you really need?

First of all, you need to make sure your grill is well put together in terms of pieces and parts. It’s close to impossible to check this online so what I do is checking on forums, reviews, and youtube to hear what other people have experienced when using the product. If they all say it’s fine and dandy it usually is.

Size

To make grilling a big meal as efficient as possible you want enough space and heat to prepare multiple parts of the meals in one sitting, at least that’s my preference. To give you an exact number I would say 500 square inches is a good number to look for when looking to get a grill for your family.

Most people dont need more than 500 square inches of cooking space, however, grills come in larger sizes and if you often host big get-togethers that a bigger grill can be an option to look into.

Power

There is no point in having a huge grill if there is no power behind it. Grills come with different amount of power and burners, but my rule of thumb is 1 burner per 200 square inches of cooking space, I have found this to provide the most efficient results and preventing cold spots to occur during the meal preparations.

In addition to the number of burners the BTU is very important as well, this makes all the difference since its the unit of measuring the power. My rule of thumb here is 100 BTU per square inch of cooking space, so for a 1000 square inch grill, I want at least 1000 BTU of power. This won’t apply to all the grills, but its a nice rule that plays out true in most scenarios.

Does it have flavorizer or an equivalent?

This is a must-have for any grill enthusiast. A Flavorizer such as the one coming with the weber grills makes a huge difference in the flavor and moisture level of your food since a flavorizes will store the aromas and taste flying around in the grill and infusing it back in instead of spilling it out.

Price

Grills come in a variety of price tags and the price dosent always decide the quality of the grills, I have a found a few 2000$ grills during my tests that have performed worse than sub 1000$ grills. The build and quality is everything.

The price level I would recommend you focus on is 1250 – 2000$ this is where you will get the most for your money, they are not cheap and not overly expensive either. If you want a top-shelf grill you should expect to pay 2000$ and above.

Last Words

During this summer I did a crazy amount of testing and my wife thought I was going insane with my grill hobby, but it was all worth it in the end.

I hope you found this article interesting and hopefully helpful. My goal is to give you an article that will make it super easy for you to choose which grill you want so I hope I achieved that goal.

If you think there is anything I missed or I should have added then feel free to leave a commend and I will be sure to read it.

Thanks for reading and thanks for your time! Cheers, Fredrick.
